# How do I untangle my necklace or bracelet?

Tangled chains can happen, but the best way to prevent this is to hang your necklaces and bracelets when not wearing them. If you do have a tangled chain, we suggest rubbing oil (something like olive oil) on the knots until they loosen up! Once they are loose, you can carefully undo the knots and then clean the chain with warm water and dish soap.
