Yes, we do! We'd love to help you in your journey of creating a piece made specially for you or your loved ones. Please see below for a few of our most commonly asked questions regarding our custom process:

How do I begin the custom design process?

If you are interested in creating a custom VRAI design, please book an appointment with a Diamond Expert. Our diamond and design specialists will guide you through the process of refining your vision into a signature VRAI piece.

How long is my custom quote valid?

Custom jewelry quotes are valid for 72 hours from the time they are issued. Due to fluctuations in diamond and precious metal pricing, quoted prices cannot be guaranteed beyond this timeframe.

To lock in your quoted price, you must complete the $350 refundable custom design deposit and/or purchase your VRAI-created diamond within the 72 hour period. Once either requirement has been completed, your quoted price will be secured for your custom project.

Is a deposit required to start a custom design?

Yes. To begin creating CAD (Computer-Aided Design) renderings for a custom jewelry piece, a refundable custom design deposit of $350 is required. Alternatively, you may secure your VRAI created diamond to act as a deposit and initiate the custom design process as well. If you choose not to move forward with a custom piece, $75 per rendered CAD will be deducted from your deposit.

What can I expect during the custom design process?

Creating a custom piece is a collaborative effort. We rely on your communication and feedback throughout the design journey to ensure we bring your vision to life as accurately as possible.

If a setting has not been selected or a CAD design has not been approved within two weeks of beginning the process, your diamond will be shipped to you for future use. You are welcome to resume your custom design project when you're ready or select one of our VRAI settings.

What are your custom jewelry policies?

Please review our general custom policies:

All custom jewelry is considered Final Sale. Refunds, returns, exchanges, remakes, or cancellations are not available once the custom process has begun.
Because each custom piece is uniquely designed and priced, discounts cannot be applied to custom orders.
A minimum lead time of 21 business days should be expected from project initiation to completion. Actual timelines may vary depending on the complexity of the design.
Once the final CAD design has been approved, production requires an estimated 14 business days.
Diamond Foundry retains ownership of all CAD files, renderings, and jewelry design imagery created during the custom design process.

Are custom engagement rings and wedding bands eligible for additional benefits?

Yes. Custom engagement rings and wedding bands are eligible for our Lifetime Care Package, which includes:

One complimentary ring resize, if the design allows, within one full size up or down (or two sizes up or down in UK and European sizing).
Annual professional cleanings.
Our Lifetime Warranty.

Please note that complimentary resizing is not available for full pavé, eternity bands, and certain other setting styles.

Are custom engagement rings eligible for the Diamond Value Guarantee Program?

Yes. Custom engagement rings are eligible for participation in our Diamond Value Guarantee Program.
